The Problem Before We Stepped In

Growing past one outlet breaks the tools that got a salon there. Bookings live in WhatsApp, the schedule in a notebook, sales in a separate POS, commission in a spreadsheet only one person understands, and package balances nobody fully trusts. Each tool works alone; together they leak money and no one can prove where. Two stylists book the same colour machine. A package session gets redeemed twice and the balance is edited by hand, so there is no ledger to point to when the customer disputes it. Commission is argued over every month. And because the usual answer is cloud-only, a slow line in a shoplot stops the counter entirely.

What We Built

Nolira is the operations system for salon, spa and beauty chains with two to twenty outlets, and it is deliberately excellent at the four operations that decide whether a chain makes money rather than average at forty. The scheduling engine checks staff skill, room, chair, machine, processing time and buffers before it offers a slot, so what a customer books is what the shop can deliver. Checkout settles cash, card, QR, deposit, package redemption and split payments into one finalised sale that is never edited — corrections are compensating transactions. Every package purchase, redemption, adjustment, expiry and transfer is an immutable ledger entry, so the balance is a projection of that ledger rather than a number someone can overwrite. Every commission event stores the rule version and a line-by-line calculation, so a stylist asking why the number changed gets shown instead of argued with. It runs across four native surfaces — a keyboard-first Windows front desk, iOS and Android companions, and a customer web booking site — and the Windows branch keeps booking, checking out and printing receipts with the line down, syncing afterwards in dependency order with duplicate protection.
